The CE-Ageing Platform indicated as a flagship project of the EU Danube Region Strategy/Priority Area 9 “To Invest in People and Skills“
7. Mai 2012
The project “Central European Knowledge Platform for an Ageing Society (CE-Ageing Platform)“ has been chosen to be labeled as a project belonging to and supporting the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), Priority Area 9 “To Invest in People and Skills.“ The project of 13 partners from 8 CENTRAL EUROPE countries (from which 4 countries belong to the Danube Region) will contribute to the Strategy significantly with its strategic guideline for the Central European countries/regions in order to manage and adequately respond to the challenges of demographic change (so called CE-Ageing-Strategy).
The EUSDR (adopted by European Commission in December 2010, endorsed by the European Council in 2011) is a macro-regional strategy, which was developed by the European Commission in cooperation with the Danube Region countries and key stakeholders in order to address common challenges together. The main aim of the EUSDR is to create synergies and coordination between existing policies and initiatives taking place across the Danube Region and to influence the future of the Strategy’s implementation, especially as regards the upcoming budget period 2014-2020.
