Gábor Szüdi presents the results of the TRESCA and VERITY projects at a Budapest conference

ZSI researcher Gábor Szüdi presented the final outcomes of the Horizon 2020 project TRESCA and the preliminary results of the Horizon Europe project VERITY at an international conference organised by the Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest on 13 October.

Aligned with the general topics of the conference, the presentation dealt with the broader question on how science can address disinformation and fake news and contribute to a higher societal trust in science. The presentation highlighted the more specific results of the TRESCA project related to the role of science communication in evidence-based policy-making.

At the end of the conference, a panel discussion was held where experts went into more detail on factors and circumstances shaping society's perception of science today, as well as the impact of digital culture and artificial intelligence (AI) on science communication, scientific knowledge production and the general trust and credibility of science.

VERITY's first related findings gained through systematic literature reviews and participatory actions, such as interviews and focus groups were shared with the audience during the panel discussion.
