The Foundation FUNDECYT Scientific and Technological Park of Extremadura (FUNDECYT-PCTEX) is a body governed by public law based in Extremadura (Spain) with the aim of contributing to the social and economic exploitation of science and technology in the region, supporting and promoting scientific and technological development and a better use of research and innovation outcomes. FUNDECYT has been an agent of change in this process of co-creation of public policies, in the design of the Smart Specialisation Strategy of Extremadura, the Digital Agenda and other processes aimed at increasing the quality and impact of research, like the Strategy for a Green and Circular Economy (Extremadura 2030) or the Energy and Climate Integrated Plan 2030. The Office for Innovation (O4i), managed by FUNDECYT is a paradigmatic example of the reciprocal transfer processes tending to the exchange of knowledge and creative co-creation of solutions focused on the needs of people, adding value from the academy and the companies.
