A talk – moderated Gerald Bast (rector of the University or Applied Arts Vienna) – with Anton Falkeis (University of Applied Arts) and Josef Hochgerner (Centre for Social Innovation, ZSI): Both experts will discuss opportunities to design society through theory, design, and practice and how to address urban challenges. The event takes place in the framework of the master's program for Social Design of the University of Applied Art and is open for all interested in design, architecture and innovation research.
At this occasion ‘Challenge Social Innovation. Potential for business, social entrepreneurship, welfare and civil society’ by Franz, Hans-Werner; Hochgerner, Josef; Howaldt, Jürgen (eds.), a publication by Springer, will be presented. The publication summarises important results of the international conference 'Challenge Social Innovation' held in Vienna in 2011.
