HIGHLIGHT: Master of Arts in Social Innovation

The university course “Master of Arts in Social Innovation” offers a one of a kind professional master's programme for individuals who want to develop sustainable and peer-to-peer media based social innovations in politics, economy and society. Graduates of this study programme will be able to work in the development, planning and realisation of social transformation processes in organisations as well as in consulting and supervision industry. The “MA in Social Innovation” puts special emphasis on the potential of social determined innovations in digital and interactive media, in which the latter not only serve as a by-product but as major driver for social change processes.
Target group | Executives, employees and freelancers who want to qualify for invention, implementation, evaluation and supervision of social innovations in enterprises or other organisations. | |
Admission requirements | An academic degree or an equivalent international qualification from a recognised university. In exeptional cases, applicants without academic degree (such as MA, MSc, MBA, Civil Engineer or Bachelor etc.) may be admitted on the basis of adequate professional qualifications. |

New technological possibilities and globalisation have had a strong impact on social change and have therefore created a demand for developing innovative answers to poverty, exclusion, aging society, work-life balance, communications and learning possibilities in educational environment, globalisation of financial-, production and general key markets, climate changes etc. Social innovations are as crucial for economic development as product and process innovations.
