The Austrian Science and Research Liaison Office in Brno (ASO Brno) announces for the year 2007 a call for proposals for research co-operations.

Each project partnership must include at least one research institution from Austria and the Czech Republic. Besides, at least one research institution from countries where the ASOs operates (Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Bulgaria), from Romania or from the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia incl. Kosovo) must be included into the project consortium.

Research areas of the call are:

1. Humanities and social sciences
2. Material sciences
3. Environmental research

The funding available for projects including partners from the Western Balkan countries amounts up to max. 7.000 Euro; in other cases each project is limited to a max. of 6.000 Euro.
Funding is provided by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture (bm:bwk).

The call is open until 28 Fabruary 2007 (date of the post mark). The project activities have to be implemented until the middle of December 2007.
