The Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) is looking for an
expert at the interface of migration, labour market, and
regional development policies
In support of tasks within an EU co-funded project related to issues at the interface of migration, labour market and regional development ZSI is looking for an expert to perform the following tasks:
- Acting as contact person for the project in the Slovak Republic;
- Administering a survey on re-turning migrants for the Slovak Republic (including data on the returnees conditions before they left for abroad, the returnees experience of migration and return and the returnees post-return conditions in the country of origin)
- Collecting of data related to returning migrants registered as unemployed (or similar) as provided for by National Employment Services of the 7 countries: Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Slovenia on national and regional level.
- Descriptive analysis of these data (analyzing frequency distributions and crosstabs related to gender, age, education and prior occupation);
- Writing a summary of the main results for each country/region (approx. 3 - 5 pages) and for the broader Central European Area (synthesis report – approx. 3 pages).
- Support of ZSI related to specific research of information for the above mentioned topics.
We expect excellent knowledge in the following fields:
- High level expertise in the related policy areas: migration, labour market policy, and regional development;
- Professional experience in at least one of the three policy fields mentioned and sound understanding of the other(s);
- Sound understanding of statistical data related to the three policy fields;
- Excellent knowledge of Slovak, English; knowledge of German would be an asset;
- Excellent drafting skills in English.
The contract of services for these tasks is limited to gross € 5,000.- (Euro Five thousand) including all taxes and insurances and shall come into force upon signature and be valid for a duration of no longer than 6 months. The service has to be delivered at a quality to the satisfaction of the client.
