EVAL-INNO RTDI Evaluation Training Course, 17-21 June 2013, Podgorica, Montenegro

The EVAL-INNO project organises the third RTDI evaluation training course on 17-21 June 2013 in Podgorica, Montenegro. The training will gather participants from Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo and will be carried out by experienced RTDI evaluation trainers from six countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro and Serbia).
The training will introduce the participants to the theory and practice of the research and science-related evaluation of organisations, policies, programmes and institutions.
The training will be offered to two target groups:
- Potential or current evaluation experts. Researchers and employees of scientific organisations are in general expected to apply for this group.
- Programme owners. Experts from managing authorities and governmental agencies are expected to sign in the second group of “programme owners”.
The training mainly targets:
- Junior experts that would like to gain theoretical and practical knowledge on RTDI evaluation methods and best practices.
- Senior experts that would like to strengthen their knowledge in order to become in the future more deeply involved in RTDI evaluations of RTDI institutions, science and innovation policies and programmes.
Number of trainees:
A total of 26 trainees are expected to participate in the training (17 from Montenegro and 9 from the invited countries).
Application
EVAL-INNO announces the training opportunity publicly and applications from both target groups as described above are most welcome. In addition those current and potential evaluators and managing authorities who have been identified during the project and/or mapped with a template at the website (RTDI Evaluation section) have been invited explicitly.
Please note the following eligibility rules:
- Participants should have country of residence or employment either in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo* and Montenegro.
- Participants (of both groups) should work fully or part-time at any type of organisation that is engaged in developing and/or promoting RTDI. Examples of such organisations are ministries, chambers of commerce, state agencies, innovation councils, scientific unions, industrial associations, clusters, science parks, incubators, laboratories, centres of research, universities etc.
- Please note: University students are not eligible to participate as trainees in the course, unless they are fully or part-time employed at university. For the target group of evaluators, university staff is eligible to participate as trainees, in order to increase their knowledge on RTDI evaluation e.g. for the purpose of the university.
The language of the course is English.
Deadline for applications: 31 May 2013. Applicants will be notified of the nomination process at the beginning of June 2013.

Please note: By filling in the registration form you declare your commitment to participate in all sessions of the training course (5 days for Group 1: Potential or current evaluation experts or 4 days for Group 2: Programme owners). Please, also note that certificates will be provided only to the participants that were present in 100% of the training sessions and the exercises.
