Study on Governance models of national research infrastructures for the strategic positioning of RTOs

Contracted by GFF - Society for the Promotion of Research, ZSI together with Systems Research der Austrian Research Centers (ARC/sr)conducted a study on corporate as well as public governance models of large research and technology organisations (RTOs).
The selection of RTOs was driven by:
* RTOs of national significance
* Interaction with public decision makers
* Identification of good-practice-models for efficiency generation
* Comparability with former studies
The following RTOs have been analysed:
* Austrian Research Centers, Austria
* Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Germany
* Joef Stefan Institut, Slovenia
* Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, Germany
* Paul Scherrer Institut, Switzerland
* SINTEF, Norway
* TNO, The Netherlands
* VTT, Finland
The results have been transferred to the donor of the study, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology. The report consists of four parts. Part 1 is ready for download. For the other parts please send a note to ZSI.
