Peer Review Report of the Kyrgyz R&I system presented

The Kyrgyz Government requested the peer review in the frame of the EU funded project IncoNet Central Asia (IncoNet CA - www.inco-ca.net ). The review was implemented in 2015 and finalised until summer 2016, before the presentation of results took place in September. It was conducted by an international expert group involving experts from Austria, Estonia, Germany, Greece and Kazakhstan, and was led by ZSI collaborator Manfred Spiesberger.
The analysis covered S&T strategy and governance, Public Research Organisations (PRO) and Higher Education Institutions (HEI), Financing of Research, Research Personnel, and Innovation and the Private Sector for which related recommendations have been made to improve the performance of the S&T sector of the country. The results of the review have been summarised in a report, which is not public yet. The presentation of the report took place in presence of key stakeholders in Kyrgyz S&T, including the Vice Minister Mr. Abdimannap Muratov and head of Parliamentary Committee for social issues, education, science, culture and health, Mr. Sadik Sher-Niyaz.
