Open Access: An opportunity for Malta

“Open Access: an opportunity for Malta” - Recommendations for the Development of a National Policy for Open Access to publications, research data and related issues for Malta is a report which was carried out between October 2019 and April 2020 by a dedicated PSF panel, consisting of four independent experts including Niels Stern (Chair) and Daniel Spichtinger (Rapporteur), who was contracted by ZSI on this behalf.
The report follows a request of the Maltese authorities.
The PSF Specific Support to Malta aims to provide external advice and operational recommendations on an Open Access policy to the country’s authorities. The objective is to enable Malta to adopt a timely and effective path towards achieving European goals related to Open Access and bridging the gap with other leading Member States in this area.
