The Interreg Central Europe project CERUSI – Central European Rural Social Innovation, coordinated by Wolfgang Haider and Barbara Glinsner, stages the second webinar of the recently launched webinar series on the “Borders of Social Innovation”. After wrapping up the first successful webinar on social innovation in border regions and the potential of cross-border cooperation, the second webinar will focus on the potential of public-private-people partnership as an instrument to overcome the gap between marginalized and advanced areas.
Cooperation between public and private actors has the potential to solve societal challenges in a holistic and sustainable way by creating well-adapted and inclusive solutions. However, these opportunities are often poorly exploited as institutional procedures and behaviours are difficult to synchronize. Therefore, it is necessary to create a shared and functional language, allowing a proactive and fruitful synchronization of cooperation targets and the setup of a joint perspective between multiple actors.
The webinar will contribute to creating this shared language by bringing together practitioners, public administrators and academics introducing a best practice case of a PPPP and highlighting the overarching financial, regulatory and socio-behavioural framework necessary to implement such a case.
The detailed agenda and programme can be accessed on the CERUSI webpage.
