Turkish Research & Business Organisations (Belgium)
Acronym: TuR&Bo – PPP
TuR&Bo is the Brussels liaison office of Turkey's main research and business organisations: TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey), TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organisation) and TESK (The Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen).
Founded by these public and private sector organisations, the international non-profit association (AISBL), TuR&Bo, was set up in Brussels in 2004. TuR&Bo's founding philosophy and aims are based on the principle of public-private partnership.
Since 2004, TuR&Bo has been assisting Turkey in succeeding in the European Union’s RTD and private sector/enterprise-oriented programmes within the framework of the EU 2020 Strategy.
TuR&Bo helps their founding partners and their respective stakeholders find partners with whom they can participate in European projects (e.g. H2020, COSME, etc.), mainly through Brussels-based networks. TuR&Bo monitors the latest developments in the European Research Area and provides policy advice to their founding partners with an emphasis on developing strategic analysis in terms of Turkey's participation in relevant EU programmes.
The organisation also provides support to the National Contact Points (NCPs), relaying information on events and issues at the heart of EU research policy and facilitating meetings between them and their counterparts from other countries.Website: http://www.turboppp.org
