National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Ukraine)
Acronym: NASU
The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) is the highest state-supported research organization founded in 1918. It integrates all researchers of its institutions and carries out studies in various areas of knowledge. The basic units in NASU structure are research institutes / centers / any other entities. Annually they execute more than 2.000 research projects by State budget funding and twice more supported by other funding sources including ones within STCU, EU FPs, ESA, UNESCO etc. The annual editor‘s activity covers over 20.000 research papers in special journals, 25% of them are in foreign editions. Annually more than 700 scientific forums (conferences, symposia, workshops) are carried out where NASU institutes perform as organisers or co-organisers.
