Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation (Greece)
Acronym: HFRI
The Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation was funded in 2016 as a public non-profit body under the General Secretariat for Research and Technology and the Ministry of Development and Investment. H.F.R.I. was created out of the vital need to support young scientists and as a necessary tool in reversing the outflow of outstanding scientists abroad through the support of the unrestricted research and the systematic inquiry, which arises from the scientific curiosity. Through H.F.R.I., the research and academic community is, for the first time in Greece, actively involved in shaping country’s Research and Innovation policy without thematic or geographical exclusions, but with the sole criterion of scientific quality and excellence.
