Austrian Research Area
Together with AIT, IHS, Joanneum Research and WIFO, ZSI carries out a study on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of the Austrian research area. The work is implemented on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy, is coordinated with other advisory bodies and fuels strategy and policy planning processes at the Ministry.
Within the consortium's comprehensive approach, ZSI focuses on:
- the specialisation and the thematic portfolio of Austrian public sector research,
- the internationalisation of the Austrian research area,
- perspectives of the social sciences and humanities,
- and the role of social innovation.
Methodologically, the study builds on secondary data analysis and literature review, the results of which are fed into expert discussions.
