Increasing International Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Brazil and the European Union
Increasing International Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation between Brazil and the European Union – INCOBRA. Therefore, the overall objective of INCOBRA was to focus on, increase, and enhance Research & Innovation (R&I) Cooperation Activities between Brazil (BR) and European Union (EU) R&I actors, so that both regions get the best value out of the mutual cooperation.
Specific objectives of the project were:
- Identifying and addressing targeted international cooperation activities of mutual benefit and with potential for generating sufficient scale and scope by setting up strategic foresight activities between key BR EU R&I stakeholders
- Supporting the implementation of activities agreed within the BR-EU Policy Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation by supporting collaborative networks among BR-EU R&I actors to scale up R&I implementation
- Contributing to the establishment of appropriate framework conditions for BR-EU R&I cooperation by fostering coherence and coordination on R&I funding policies and programmes applicable to the context of such bilateral cooperation
- Encouraging cooperation between R&I actors from BR and the EU by supporting information dissemination, awareness-raising, capacity building, networking and sustainability activities on Horizon 2020 and beyond, thus including Brazilian R&I programmes and funding opportunities as well as other R&I international cooperation activities
