Evaluation of the Baltic Sea region programme 2010, 2011 and 2013 of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) developed a specific programme which supported projects in order to strengthen potentials for innovation and cooperation in the Baltic Sea region (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia). The main objective was to link national networks with excellent researchers from the Baltic Sea region and to develop strategies for cooperation (e.g: project proposals / acquisitions) for research and innovation projects.
ZSI will evaluate the outcomes of this programme carried out in 2010, 2011 and 2013 by analysing the following questions:
- To what extent have German researchers been supported to develop contacts with excellent researchers in the Baltic Sea region?
- To what extent has the development of cooperation strategies been enabled?
- To what extent has the development of projects been enabled, which subsequently have been funded by EU research framework programmes or national programmes?
- To what extent have innovation potentials in international cooperation been enabled?
