PSF Malta
Specific Support to Malta on the Development of a National Open Access policy
The contract was implemented within the framework contract “Policy Support Facility (PSF)” funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
The main goal of this activity was to provide external advice and operational recommendations on defining the vision, goals and scope of the national Open Access policy, and on clarifying the requirements for its implementation. These include setting up the key infrastructure, such as a national platform and repository, and its governance, including fair use of data. The PSF experts also provided guidance on the investments and resources involved, as well as how it can be linked to other European and international platforms.
ZSI has nominated Daniel Spichtinger as one of the European experts who played an active part in all of the project phases: starting with the kick-off meeting, inception report and country visits, which were rounded-up with dissemination activities.
An overview of this specific support to Malta is available in this factsheet.
