BIONANOSENS
Deepening collaboration on novel biomolecular electronics based on "smart" nanomaterials
BIONANOSENS - Deepening collaboration on novel biomolecular electronics based on "smart" nanomaterials is a Horizon 2020-funded project under the Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation scheme. It is a twinning action and as such its activities are directed towards one main beneficiary (compare NEUROTWIN and BrainTwin for two more H2020-Twinning projects implemented by ZSI)
Partnership: The coordinator and main beneficiary is the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IMBG). IMBG plays a leading role as one of the best life science research institutions in Ukraine. Through the twinning with specific EU partners, that bring along both scientific excellence in life science research and long-lasting competencies in EU R&D project management, the Ukrainian institute should be positioned as an internationally renowned Centre of Excellence in analytical biotechnologies.
Activities: The project implements tailor-made twinning actions helping to build and strengthen the research management capacities on the side of IMBG. The project rationale builds on the institute's current operational situation. It is reflected in the design and scope of the project activities, in order to meet IMBG's most pressing demands as good as possible. In the frame of BIONANOSENS, the consortium aims to establish institutional grant management procedures at IMBG, to open the access to international networks, to build up knowledge in project proposal writing skills, to promote and train young researchers, and to support IMBG in disseminating and exploiting its research results.
Role of ZSI: ZSI is a partner in BIONANOSENS and leads two Work Packages: WP2 "Building capacities for successful participation in collaborative European research networks" and WP5 "Communication, dissemination and exploitation".
More specifically, ZSI is reponsible for the following tasks (selection):
- Enabling innovation experience exchange between EU partners and IMBG (WP2)
- Raising awareness of IMBG researchers about the benfits of S&T cooperation with EU partners (WP2)
- Training on H2020/Horizon Europe project proposal preparation and the rules & conditions for participation in the programmes (WP2)
- Raising awareness about the BIONANOSENS project in Ukraine and in the EU (WP5)
- Communication about and dissemination of the results generated by the project (WP5)
- Facilitating the exploitation of the outputs generated by the project by external stakeholders (WP5)
