Open Innovation World Café - Climate Innovation and Bioeconomy
Bereich: Forschungspolitik & Entwicklung
Datum: 12. April 2019
Climate change is a hot issue all around the world. Urban communities are major actors, as cities consume 75 per cent of the world’s natural resources, produce half the planet’s waste and generate 60-80 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Bioeconomy has strong potentials to support climate innovation and to offer solutions for the problems of cities. Discussion between urban communities, researchers and bioeconomy actors is crucial to understand each other and to find action points together.
In this context, the ZSI – Centre for Social Innovation (Vienna) in cooperation with the Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. is organising a workshop “Open Innovation World Café – Climate Innovation and Bioeconomy” to strengthen links with civil society in order to contribute to better acceptance of scientific results and commercial success of innovative ideas and products.
The further aim of the event is ”to help build new links and strengthen existing ones between regional initiatives and the Danube Region innovation systems to create synergies and improve the impact”.
The event will be held in Budapest, on 12th April 2019 in the context of the Made in Danube project funded by the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme.
