An invitation to the third/final CE- Ageing International Conference

The project consortium of the Central European Knowledge Platform for an Ageing Society (CE-Ageing Platform) is kindly inviting you to the third - final - international ageing conference of the project, organized by the Institute for the Development of Vocational Training for Workers (ISFOL) in Rome, Italy on 10 October 2013.
Under the title “At the heart of an ageing continent: Perspectives and strategies for active ageing in Central Europe”, this conference will gather approximately 100 participants, such as CE-Ageing Platform project and strategic partners, national and regional policy makers from Central European countries, key stakeholders, international ageing experts and representatives of other interested organisations.
The main aim of this final event is to present the projects’ results, to raise the awareness about challenges Europe is facing by population ageing, to exchange and thoroughly discuss latest developments in active ageing, silver economy, demographic change and finally to reflect on the results and outcomes of the CE-Ageing Platform project.
The core of the conference programme is represented by several lectures and inputs by distinguished foreign experts divided in the three blocks. The conference will be opened by the representatives of the Italian Department for Family Policies (Presidency of the Council of Ministers), the Austrian Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Central Europe Programme, the Contact Point Central Europe Veneto Region as well as by the representatives of the Lazio Region and the City of Rome.
The second part of the programme is purely dedicated to the CE-Ageing Platform results, where the project partners will present the core output of the project – the CENTRAL EUROPEAN AGEING STRATEGY, inform about the main results and outcomes of the pilot actions implemented in direct cooperation with SMEs, municipalities and training organisations in nine territories of Central Europe. This input session will be followed by the policy dialog – public discussion with all involved participants.
In the afternoon session, the Italian policies and best practices in the context of an ageing Central Europe will be presented and discussed together with the representatives of the Department for Equal Opportunities (Presidency of the Council of Ministers) and research experts from Liguria, Toscana and Veneto regions.
The participation at the conference is free of charge; there is no registration fee to be paid to the conference organizers. Simultaneous translation (English – Italian) will be provided during the conference and also the conference will be streamed on-line.
