ZSI supporting research and innovation management in IMBG

22. Oct. 2021

Ukrainian molecular biology institute benefits from a tailor-made training

On October 19, already for the third time ZSI experts delivered a dedicated research and innovation management training for the innovation management unit of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics (IMBG) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU).

The training, which was organised under the BIONANOSENS project (funded under H2020 twinning scheme), covered the full project management cycle of international and collaborative EU R&I grants with a specific emphasis on the innovation dimension, impact pathways exploitation (incl. research market analysis) and financial management.

IMBG, with the support of ZSI, established the innovation management unit at the beginning of 2021 focusing on building own long-term capacities and skills in project and innovation management. Through the continuous support that is provided to the innovation management unit’s staff until the project end, ZSI supports the IMBG’s future acquisition and implementation of European R&I grants – and in this way contributes to the main objective of BIONANOSENS to create long-lasting organisational and scientific impact for IMBG.

Furthermore, an info day on Horizon Europe was organised back-to-back to the training. This session was open for IMBG staff and other researchers from NASU and took place in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online). The info day supports the promotion of Horizon Europe as Ukraine completed its full association to Horizon Europe just a week before on October 12.
